The Borehole Project
Launched Spring 2018 | Completed Summer 2022
Total Project Cost - $15,000

WRM is working to create clean and sustainable water systems in remote villages of Ghana’s Volta region with The Borehole Project. Globally, 80% of people who have to use unsafe and unprotected water sources live in rural areas. Historically, women and young girls in remote villages bear the burden of collecting water for their families, many hours taken from their day. Boreholes provide families with quick and convenient access to clean water for drinking, bathing and washing, resulting in improved hygiene, reduction of illness and children spending more time in school.

With monies from our donors, WRM was able to provide financial assistance of $4,000 towards the borehole, in collaboration with Mission Africa. We are happy to report the borehole installation is completed and operating in the Christian Return City Village. Elder Cassandra Walker donated an additional $2,000 allowing a direct line of running water to the WRM Mission House.

Help us provide continued maintenance on the borehole project by donating today, or commit to give monthly. Select the giving option that works best for you.
